Face masks should be worn by all, especially those using public transport, visiting hospitals, caring for the vulnerable people and in situations where social distancing is not possible
The four face masks we offer include, 3-ply, our exclusive premium 3-ply masks, our medical type IIR 3-ply mask and our KN95 mask, they offer differing Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE). It is a personal choice which level of protection you choose, however if you are in the medical field our medical type IIR is most suitable.
Firstly, it is important to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser prior to putting on a mask. Ensure the ear loops are around your ears and the nose bar is pressed against your nose, reducing the chance of particles entering from the top of the mask. For the KN95 mask ensure the mask is sealing all areas around your face. For other masks ensure the mask is stretched out to fully cover your mouth and nose.
It is not essential to wear face masks everywhere, however, across England, Scotland and Wales, people are being advised to wear face coverings in areas where social distancing is not possible. It is also now essential to wear face coverings on public transport.
